I’ve heard the weather has got even colder in the UK this last week and that you are having to scrape the ice off your car windows some days. Give yourself something else to think about and book a holiday to North Cyprus. Cyprus has around 340 sunny days a year, so is very popular in the winter as well as the summer. Cyprus is a beautiful island with lots of sandy beaches as well as history and culture. The locals will make you very welcome. English is widely spoken in the Tourist areas but the locals would be happy to hear you try to say a little Turkish to them. If you go off the beaten track a bit and find someone that doesnt speak English, then you’ll have fun trying to have a conversation with them. Mimming, pointing etc is very common and can be humourous as well.

Kyrenia has one of the most beautiful harbours in Europe and the Castle is right on the harbour. Not too far away you will now find the new amphitheatre. If you like to explore then you can visit castle’s, abbey’s and ruin’s to learn all about this beautiful part of the world.

The restaurant’s offer a wide choice of cuisine, including local dishes, English, Chinese, Indian and more. Due to still having its own currency in North Cyprus, Turkish Lira, you will find it very reasonable to holiday here. You’ll find various places with entertainment, so all you need to decide is whether you want to paint the town red or just have a quiet drink/meal somewhere.

His house has recently been opened up for tourists in the last couple of months as well. Bellapais is a beautiful part of North Cyprus both day and night. During the day you can see right over Kyrenia and at night time the Abbey is lit up and will look lovely in your holiday snaps!

The third hotel is The Pine Bay Club. Situated outside of Kyrenia on the Western coastal road. The Pine Bay Club has a Roman theme to it with stunning gardens and is just a few hundred yards away from the sea. İt has 2 swimming pools as well as a fully equipped gym, outdoor whirlpool bath, pool bar and restaurant. Their sports bar has recently been refurbished and the hotel also hosts regular Cyprus nights.
