UK departure airports and flight schedules for Northern Cyprus holidays

Long gone are the days when a North Cyprus holiday meant a gruelling journey to the UK departure airport for many people. The available flights to Ercan International Airport have expanded greatly, but a significant change was made when the border between the north and south of Cyprus was opened some years ago. Larnaca Airport is reasonably close to the border and is served by a vast range of airlines with departures from many regional airports throughout the UK. Now, travelling to this wonderful resort is easy.

Below we list all the airlines and departure airports that we can offer. These choices are generally available for both package holidays and flight-only reservations. Flights to Ercan Airport involve a short touchdown in Turkey en route. For the vast majority of flights, no change of aircraft is required. You simply wait on board the aircraft while some transit passengers disembark and embark, then continue the flight. Ercan Airport is conveniently situated quite centrally, and transfers are relatively short; approximately 40 minutes to the Kyrenia region. Flights to Larnaca Airport are non-stop, so a little shorter. Transfers are somewhat longer in resort, so the overall total journey time is quite similar. The main deciding factor is the departure airport in the UK that is the most convenient for you.
